As we look forward to 2026 and step into the new year, we reflect with gratitude on an incredible milestone in 2025, the first edition of Creating Opportunities, held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from September 25th to 29th. This event was conceived after a series of focus groups in April 2025, where we discovered a clear and pressing need among Message adults aged 27 and older. Many participants expressed that, while they cherished their faith, opportunities to gather with peers in the Message were limited. There was a strong desire for intentional fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and age-relevant connection.

In response, Creating Opportunities was designed as a Christ-centered initiative to bring together believers from across the globe, offering a space to grow in faith, strengthen identity in Christ, and build meaningful relationships. The event was five full days of positivity, joy, and spiritual enrichment, with over 100 participants joining us from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and other parts of Europe.

Daily Icebreakers: Setting the Tone for Fellowship

Each day began with engaging icebreaker activities to set a joyful, welcoming tone. These interactive sessions encouraged participants to meet one another, share personal stories of faith, and begin the day with laughter and connection. The icebreakers helped establish a warm, inclusive atmosphere, allowing everyone to feel comfortable and open to learning, sharing, and fellowship.

Following these activities, participants attended workshops on a variety of topics centered on relationship building, spiritual growth, and practical life skills. These sessions fostered deep conversations, reflection, and actionable takeaways that attendees could apply in their daily walk with Christ.

Saturday was dedicated to fellowship and featured breakout sessions specifically for sisters and brothers. In these focused discussions, we explored important topics such as financial stewardship, budgeting, and wise decision-making from a biblical perspective. These sessions included a Q&A component, giving participants the opportunity to ask practical questions and receive guidance grounded in Scriptural principles. The discussions were engaging, interactive, and deeply relevant to the challenges and opportunities that Message adults face today.

Sunday concluded the conferences with a breathtaking all-white dinner and celebration. The elegant evening featured inspiring preaching, worship, and heartfelt fellowship. The all-white theme symbolized purity, unity, and spiritual focus, and the event offered a beautiful opportunity for attendees to reflect on the week’s experiences while building lasting memories. The night was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and photographs capturing moments of genuine connection and joy.

Monday: The Amazing Race – Connecting Through Discovery

Monday brought everyone together for the highly anticipated Amazing Race, a dynamic and fun activity that allowed participants to explore the city of Montreal while continuing to grow in fellowship. Teams collaborated, encouraged one another, and discovered hidden gems throughout the city. The activity fostered teamwork, creativity, and playful competition, while giving participants a natural way to connect, share experiences, and form friendships that will last well beyond the event.

The week as a whole was an extraordinary testament to the power of global unity in the Message. There was no negativity, every participant returned safely, and the atmosphere was filled with joy, encouragement, and spiritual energy. Attendees left inspired, connected, and spiritually refreshed.

We are thrilled to continue the conversation! On Saturday, December 6th, we will be hosting a Zoom discussion, where some of the panelists and speakers from the event will return for an in-depth conversation. This session will allow participants to ask follow-up questions, dive deeper into key topics, and continue building the connections formed during the event.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Looking ahead, 2026 promises even more opportunities for growth, fellowship, and impact. We enter the new year with great expectations, excited for what the Lord has in store for the Message community. We are committed to continuing these gatherings, providing spaces for meaningful connections, and fostering spiritual development across nations.
